Flow 40 Is Back at Amy Blake’s!
Back by popular demand, the Flow 40 summer intensive is back at Amy Blake’s Academy of Dance! This intensive runs from Monday, June 17 through Thursday, June 20, 9am-1:30pm. Genres covered include Ballet, Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary, Musical Theater and Hip Hop. This intensive is perfect for both the Beginner/Intermediate Dancer (age 7-11) and the Intermediate/Advanced Dancer (age 12 & up). Cost for the 4-day intensive is $290; half is due at registration, the balance is due June 17. In-Person registration only at Amy Blake’s Academy of Dance. 2019 ABAD Recital Procedures – This is an informational letter from Amy regarding our upcoming June 22 recital.
2019 CPH Dress Rehearsal – This gives the rehearsal order for each of the 3 shows, as well as dressing room, arrival time and on-stage rehearsal time for each class or company dance.
AdOrderForm2019 – This is the order form for purchasing an ad in our recital program. Past programs are available at the studio for you to see examples of ad sizes/layouts/etc. Please note, the due/past due date for ad information designed by KrispGraphix is May 25, 2019 if you are submitting photos/text for KrispGraphix to design your ad, and May 31, 2019 if you are creating your own ad.
2019 In Studio Dress Rehearsal Week – This is an explanation of what goes on during In-Studio Dress Rehearsal week (May 6-10) and lists when/if classes have a parent meeting and/or dress rehearsal. Please be aware that some classes will have their in-studio dress rehearsal at a different time or in a different studio.
2019 Picture Week Schedule – Picture week is the week of May 13-17. This file is in calendar format to show when each class will have their recital group and individual pictures taken. Classes in bold indicate that the day and/or time is different from their regularly scheduled day/time. If your class is not listed that means you will not be meeting during this week (exception: all Saturday classes/rehearsals will meet as usual). 2019_DVD_OrderForm – Once again, Gotham Arts HD will be recording our performances. If you would like to have a lasting memory of your child’s performance, you may purchase one of their DVDs or Blu-Rays using this order form. Bring the order form, along with your payment, to your child’s performance on June 22nd and hand it to the Gotham Arts HD representative in the lobby. Or, if easier, hand it in to us at the studio and we will pass it on to the Gotham Arts representatives. Please note – payment must be made directly to Gotham Arts (i.e., we cannot run your payment to Gotham Arts to your card on file).
Ticket sales will once again be handled online by TuTuTix. All families will receive a unique access code that will allow the purchase of up to 6 tickets (4 free + 2 purchased) per show in which your child is performing during our pre-sale period of May 23rd – June 8th. Ticket codes and instructions will be emailed a few days prior to the pre-sale period. Ticket sales are open to the public beginning June 9th, at which time there will be no more limits on the number of tickets that can be purchased.

Amy Blake’s 2019 Summer Intensive
Amy Blake’s Academy of Dance is pleased to announce their Summer Dance Intensive is back and even better for 2019! This in-depth 4-week dance experience is designed for the Intermediate (ages 10-13) and Intermediate/Advanced (ages 13-18) dancer wishing to continue training over the summer. The intensive will take place at Amy Blake’s Academy of Dance (410 E Edgewood Dr, Friendswood) July 8th through August 1st. Fees for this intensive are $450 for Intermediate and $550 for Intermediate/Advanced, with a $50 non-refundable deposit due at registration. Register by May 25th online or in the studio. Dancers need not be current students at Amy Blake’s – students from other dance studios are welcome to attend!
Summer Dance Camp Information
Amy Blake’s Academy of Dance is pleased to announce the dates for their upcoming Summer 2019 Dance Camps!
Two (2) week-long dance camps for the 3-5 year old age group will be held: the first will be the week of June 3-7th, the second will be the week of July 15-19th. The camps will be held Monday through Friday, 9:30am to 12:30pm each day. Snacks will be provided, and camp activities include creative movement, ballet, tap, jazz, as well as arts and crafts. Camp participants will present a show on Friday for their family and friends. The cost of the week-long camp is $180: a $25 non-refundable deposit is required at registration, and the $155 balance is due the first day of camp. Registration is available online or in the studio. Two (2) week-long dance camps are also available for the 6-and-up age group: the first will be held the week of June 10-14th, and the second will be held the week of July 22-26th. The camps will be held Monday through Friday, 10am to 2pm each day. Campers will need to bring their own lunch each day except Friday – bring $4 cash (by Wednesday) for a Friday Pizza Party. Dance genres taught during camp include ballet, tap, jazz and hip hop. Other activities include TV commercial improv and student choreography. Camp participants will present a show on Friday for their family and friends. The cost of the week-long camp is $200: a $25 non-refundable deposit is required at registration, and the $175 balance is due the first day of camp. Registration is available online or in the studio.
